Culture Prize of the Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Rheinland
The Rhineland Culture Prize of the Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Rheinland , divided into a Grand Culture Prize and a Sponsorship Prize , has been awarded annually since 1989 by the Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Rheinland. The Great Culture Prize is currently endowed with 30,000 euros and annually honors the outstanding work of an artist who is connected to the Rhenish cultural area. The award is one of the most highly endowed cultural prizes in Germany. Another sponsorship award , currently endowed with 5,000 euros, goes annually to a young artist proposed by the winner of the Grand Prize.
Since 1997 the Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Rheinland has also been donating a youth culture prize of 5,000 euros. Awards are given to establishments, associations and institutions that bring children and young people to creative expression, cultural work and productive exchange.
