The Great Solstein is a 2541 m above sea level. A. high mountain on the western corner of the Nordkette in the Karwendel near Zirl in Tyrol . The summit can be reached via three different routes either from the Solsteinhaus or from the Neue Magdeburger Hütte as an easy , but fitness-demanding mountain tour. The transition to the higher Kleiner Solstein ( 2637 m above sea level ), the highest peak of the Nordkette, is described in more detail in his article.
