Guido Hoffmann (game designer)
Guido Hoffmann (* 1960 in Bremen ) is a German game designer and illustrator .
Life
Guido Hoffmann is the son of the renowned game inventor Rudi Hoffmann . He grew up in Frankfurt am Main and learned product design in Offenbach am Main . In 1983 he moved to Vienna, where he studied painting with Maria Lassnig at the University of Applied Arts . After completing his studies in 1989, he worked with short films and storyboards and exhibited his paintings in several galleries.
In 1996 he began to invent his own games and equip them with graphics he designed himself. In 1999 his first game Siesta was published by Goldsieber . Since then he has designed several other games. He designed the graphics for the card placement game Ogallala . According to his own statement, "everything that makes it a total work of art" drives him when making games. Hoffmann lives and works in Austria.
