Gustav Bödcher

Gustav Bödcher (born August 11, 1836 in Warksow on Rügen , † August 16, 1899 in Halberstadt ) was a German municipal official.

Life

As the son of a manor leaseholder, Bödcher attended the Putbus pedagogy , where he passed his Abitur in 1856. He started at the University of Greifswald Law to study and in 1857 in the Corps Pomerania Greifswald recipiert . Awarded twice as a senior , he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin as an inactive . In 1859 he became an auscultator at the Berlin City Court. After the assessor examination (1862) he was at the district court in Greifswald, later at the district court and at the court of appeal in Naumburg (Saale) . In 1868 he moved from the administration of justice to the internal administration of the Kingdom of Prussia and became the city counsel in Landsberg (Warthe) . Since 1872 the first mayor of Königshütte (Upper Silesia) , he was elected mayor of Halberstadt in 1875. He was inducted into office on October 14, 1875 and later re-elected twice. During his tenure, Halberstadt left the Halberstadt district . From 1876 until his death he sat in the Prussian manor house . He died shortly after his 63rd birthday in office and was buried in the municipal cemetery in Halberstadt.
