The Hockey Club Milano 24 is an inline hockey club from Milan , Italy . It was created in 1995 after the sale of SG Milano Saima and played from 1995 to 1997 in Serie A , the highest league in Italian ice hockey.

history

The Hockey Club Milano was founded in 1985 and won the Italian championship title in the 1990/91 season . In 1995 the club was sold to Umberto Quintavalle. In memory of the founding year 1924 of the original HC Milano, he renamed the club HC Milano 24 . The club continued the operations of HC Milano Saima in the Alpine League and Serie A and reached the play-off finals for the Italian championship in 1996 and 1997 . In the 1996/97 season, HC Milano 24 also took part in the European Hockey League and was eliminated in the first round without winning a point.

In 1997 the ice hockey team was disbanded due to disputes with the Italian ice hockey association FISG .

In 1996, the establishment of an inline hockey team began, which in 1999 was the first Italian champion and cup winner.

Since 2006 the club has also been known as Milano Quanta and has since won a number of national and international titles.
