The HMS Scorcher (P258) was a submarine of the British Royal Navy in World War II and after.

history

The Scorcher was a fourth batch of the British S-Class . This lot is also known as the Subtle class . The building contract was issued on April 7, 1943. The submarine was launched on December 14, 1943 at Cammell Laird in Birkenhead , northwest England, was launched on December 18, 1944 and was commissioned by the Royal Navy on March 16, 1945.

The Scorcher was damaged in two accidents after the war. On February 4, 1956, she was damaged in a collision. Furthermore, on November 22, 1956, a fire broke out during exercises.

The HMS Scorcher was canceled in Charlestown in 1962.
