The Seawolf ( German : Seewolf ) belonged to the second assembly of the successful S-Class . This lot is also known as the Shark class . She was laid down at Scott's Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. in Greenock on May 25, 1934 , launched on November 28, 1935, and entered service by the Royal Navy on March 12, 1936.

After the outbreak of World War II on September 1, 1939, the submarine was used in the North Sea .

The HMS Seawolf handle 35 NM west of Skagen (Denmark) in position 57 ° 39 '  N , 9 ° 28'  O German light cruiser Nürnberg and the German Torpedoboot Falcon unsuccessfully. On April 18, 1940 torpedoed and sank the submarine in the Skagerrak at position 58 ° 9 '  N , 10 ° 32'  O the German cargo ship Hamm (5874 BRT).

On March 6, 1942, a position report from Tirpitz, who was expiring for the convoy war , was sent.

From January 1943, the Seawolf was used in Canada for training. After the end of the war, it was decommissioned and scrapped in Canada.
