Hachmühlen is one of 16 districts in the town of Bad Münder am Deister in the Hameln-Pyrmont district of Lower Saxony in Germany .

Geographical location

Hachmühlen is located in the Weserbergland Schaumburg-Hameln nature park . In the village, the federal road 442 between the city center of Bad Münder and Coppenbrügge crosses with the federal road 217 between Springe and Hameln . To the northeast is the Saupark Springe nature reserve . The Deister begins in the north and the Süntel in the west . In the local area the Gelbbach and the Sedemünder Mühlbach flow into the Hamel .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1217 as a Hac or Hagmühle. The name giver was the water mill operated on site.

Hachmühlen has been the location of the special ward for seriously injured people since 1950, which is run by the Friederikenstift Hannover.

The village of Hachmühlen was united on January 1, 1973 in the course of the regional reform as one of 16 districts to the municipality of Bad Münder.

Culture and sights

St. Martin's Church
  • The neighboring town of Brullsen has always been part of the parish of St. Martin's Church. The original building was burned down in the Thirty Years' War and, after makeshift repairs, was not sustainably renewed until the 19th century. The church is considered the landmark of the place.
  • The successor building to the watermill that gave it its name, rebuilt in 1892 after a fire, now serves as a residential building.

Sports

The Hachmühlen shooting club and TSV Hachmühlen from 1922 are based in Hachmühlen . The TSV Hachmühlen consists of 3 divisions (football, table tennis, gymnastics), with the gymnastics division having a number of sub-divisions such as beach volleyball and hiking. The greatest sporting successes to date have been achieved in the table tennis department. There, the autumn championship in the third class regional league was achieved in the 1980s.
