Hagnberg is a wasteland and part of the Mitterfels market in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen . Hagnberg is 150 m east of the SR 4 district road .

history

Hagnberg belonged to the municipality of Gaishausen until April 30, 1978 , which was dissolved in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria .

geography

Hagnberg lies east of the Menach and Bogenbach watershed and is drained into the Bogenbach via the Hagnberger Bach .

Personalities

The important Assyriologist Johann Strassmaier (* 1846 ; † 1920 ) comes from Hagnberg. Before moving to the Episcopal Gymnasium in Metten , he attended elementary school in Au vorm Wald .
