Hagyárosbörönd is a Hungarian community in the county Zalaegerszeg in Zala county . The present municipality was created in December 1941 through the merger of the towns of Börönd and Hagyáros.
Geographical location
Hagyárosbörönd is a good 13 kilometers northwest of the district town of Zalaegerszeg . The districts of Börönd and Hagyáros of the municipality are one kilometer apart, separated by the Hagyárosi-patak river. Neighboring communities are Ozmánbük , Bagod and Zalaszentgyörgy .

Infrastructure
There is a library, cultural center, family doctor service, mobile post office, a general store, mayor's office, a church as well as a sports hall and sports field. In 2008 a workshop for traditional woodworking was founded, the aim of which is to show the work processes and methods of woodworking from prehistory to the present, which were practiced by carpenters , coopers , wood carvers and turners .
traffic
The main road No. 76 runs through Hagyárosbörönd. There are bus connections via Bagod to Zalaegerszeg and Ozmánbük. The nearest train station is a good five kilometers southeast in Bagod.
