Hans Christoph Ludwig von der Mülbe (born October 25, 1748 in Bartenstein , † July 20, 1811 in Braunsberg ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

origin

His parents were Major General Christoph Ludwig von der Mülbe and his wife Luise Eleonora, née von Unfried (1713–1785).

Military career

He came in 1761 as a private corporal in the infantry regiment "von Syburg" of the Prussian army . During the Seven Years' War he fought in the siege of Schweidnitz and the battles of Leutmannsdorf and Adelsbach. During this time, he was promoted to ensign on December 7, 1762 .

After the war he was promoted to prime lieutenant until November 1778 and took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession . On December 1, 1784, he was promoted to staff captain and on June 7, 1787 to captain and company commander. On May 15, 1790 he became major , on July 5, 1797, lieutenant colonel and on May 22, 1800, he became a colonel . When the Fourth Coalition War broke out in 1806 , Mülbe fought in the unsuccessful defense of Danzig . For this he received the order Pour le Mérite on June 19, 1807 . But on October 4, 1808, he got his resignation as a major general and a pension of 800 taler. He died on July 20, 1811 in Braunsberg.

family

Mülbe married Dorothea Luise Helene Sophie von Lübenow (1766-1846) from the Bichow family on July 26, 1789 in Königsberg . The couple had several children:
