Hans Gertberg

Hans Gertberg (born April 23, 1909 in Rostock ; † June 21, 1970 ) in Hamburg , was a German theater specialist who worked as a director and radio editor.

Gertberg studied theater studies and German in Berlin ; he worked as an actor for a while. Shortly after World War II, he went to the radio. Peter von Zahn brought him to the NWDR Hamburg . There he developed the “Schnelldenker-Tournament”, which was broadcast for the first time at Christmas 1946, which was probably the first quiz program in Germany. He also moderated the show Echo of the Day .
