Hans Jaspar von Maltzahn

Hans Jaspar Victor Gottfried Freiherr von Maltzahn (born September 19, 1869 in Vanselow , † January 17, 1929 in Berlin in a plane crash) was a Prussian politician and Pomeranian manor owner.

Life

Hans Jaspar von Maltzahn (No. 917 of the gender census ) came from the so-called House Vanselow of his gender . He was born the younger son of the landowner and landscape councilor Hans Ludwig Freiherr von Maltzahn (No. 909; 1837–1899) and Agnes von Lücken (1841–1930) and studied law and political science in Heidelberg and Berlin from 1888 . In 1888 he became a member of the Corps Vandalia Heidelberg . In 1891 he became a court trainee and in 1894 a government trainee in Lüneburg . Appointed government assessor in 1896, he worked for the Ostprignitz district office from 1897, for the chief president in Münster from 1900 and for the government in Stralsund from 1901 .

From 1903 to 1918 he was District Administrator of the district Rügen in Bergen . From 1904 to 1921 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania . He was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1908 to 1918 as a member of the German Conservative Party . From 1921 to 1926 he was a member of the Prussian State Council and at that time belonged to the German National People's Party .

Hans Jaspar von Maltzahn was a member of Crown Prince Wilhelm's entourage from 1914 to 1916 . He was President of the Sea Fisheries Association of Rügen and Knight of Honor of the Order of St. John .

He was killed in a plane crash. In his honor, a Finkenwerder deep sea fishing cutter was christened President Baron von Maltzahn .
