Hans Kudlich ( Nestroy Prize 2014 )

Hans Kudlich (* 1960 in Vienna ) is an Austrian set designer and exhibition architect.

Life

He is a descendant of the peasant liberator Hans Kudlich . After studying at the Mozarteum Salzburg, he began his theater career as an assistant at the Vienna Burgtheater . He works as a freelance set designer for drama and music theater as well as in the field of event and exhibition design.

He worked with the directors Richard Olivier , Matthias Davids , Kim Duddy , Thomas Birkmeier , Markus Kupferblum and Michael Schottenberg in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and England. Since autumn 2005 he has been in charge of the Vienna Volkstheater in the districts as technical director.

Since 2014 Kudlich is Senior Lector for Scenography at the Max Reinhard Seminar, University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

• In 2004 he was awarded the Karl Skraup Prize for the stage design for the talisman .
• 1993 The Brahmsmuseum was nominated for the European Museum of the Year Award .

• 2007 "Die Verlassene Dido", director Markus Kupferblum , stage Hans Kudlich received the " Nestroy Theater Prize " for the best off production.
