Hans Lipinsky-Gottersdorf (born February 5, 1920 in Leschnitz , Groß Strehlitz district , Upper Silesia province ; † October 3, 1991 in Cologne ) was a German writer.

Life

It was planned for the son of an Erbscholtisel owner to follow in his father's footsteps and take over his farm, which is why he learned basic agricultural skills from a farmer in the neighboring village. After that, Lipinsky-Gottersdorf was employed on various Silesian estates until the beginning of the Second World War . During the war he was a soldier. After the war he moved to the Cologne area, where he worked as a construction worker, welder and crane operator, before he turned to writing primarily stories - now working in a Cologne factory. His main work, however, is the novel Die Prosna-Prussia , which is about the landed gentry and the simple rural population on the Prosna , the small border river between the Empire and Poland , before the First World War . The continuation volume of the same name again contains stories.

The staff in his extensive work are mostly small farmers, cottagers , artisans, shepherds, country nobility, landlords, magnates and members of the military. The location is almost always in the former German eastern territories. In Prosna-Preussen the fictitious city name "Kontschenburg" occurs, which is formed from the real place names Konstadt , Pitschen and Kreuzburg .

The journalist and publicist Hans-Dietrich Sander , known for his revanchism, praised the "Slavic element" in the world in 1984 , which is nowhere more pronounced in German authors and the Lipinsky of Hermann Sudermann , Hermann Stehr or Eduard von Keyserling , which is closest to him stand, distinguish.
