Hans Reichle
Hans Reichle (* approx. 1565–70 in Schongau ; † March 22 – August 27, 1642 in Brixen ) was a South German and Tyrolean sculptor and architect . His father was the sculptor Paul Reichle. He was a student of Giambologna in Florence between 1588 and 1595, where he was called "Anzireccelle". In a list of assistants from 1591 he was named Giovanni Tedesco in the first place. In 1586 he was in the workshop of Hubert Gerhard in Munich. For a long time he ran a sculpture workshop in Brixen. He married Emma Mulletin from Brixen and lived in Brixen from 1607, where he also worked as an engineer and architect.
Works (selection)
- 1599 for the inner courtyard of the Hofburg in Bressanone 44 terracotta figures that were supposed to present the family tree of the Habsburgs - there are currently 24 in the inner courtyard, 8 in the passage through the south wing of the Hofburg in Brixen, 2 in the Tyrolean State Museum Ferdinandeum in Innsbruck and one in the Maximilian Museum in Augsburg to see.
- The relief of the Nativity on the left wing of the portal of the Cathedral of Pisa 1601.
- Trostburg near Waidbruck , the sculpture tabernacle of H. Antonius Abbas in the chapel 1603/04 is presumably attributed to the Brixen employee Reichles Giovanni de Quadria .
- Parish church Klausen crucifix and entombment.
- Parish Church of Bruneck the so-called "Kempterische Epitaph" in the entrance hall on the left column is a bronze relief in the Renaissance style is attributed to Hans Reichle (1620).
- In Augsburg in front of the armory and the cross altar in St. Ulrich and Afra, design of the figures of the Mercury and Hercules fountain, which Wolfgang Neidhardt created in collaboration with the sculptor Adriaen de Vries .
- In the Augsburg armory above the mighty portal on the east side there is an impressive bronze group by the sculptor Reichle, cast by Wolfgang Neidhardt . It shows the Archangel St. Michael fighting against Satan , a motif that can also be found in the Turamichele in Augsburg .
- In Augsburg in the basilica St. Ulrich and Afra in the central nave crucifixion group modeled by Reichle and cast by Wolfgang Neidhardt . The bronze scene with Christ on the cross, Mary Magdalene, Mary and the apostle John at the foot of the cross was erected in 1605.
