Happy Accidents is an American science fiction - film comedy from the year 2000 . Brad Anderson directed and wrote the script.

action

Ruby Weaver lives in New York City . She has had some failed relationships and is unsure about why she regularly visits a therapist. She is fired for quarreling with a customer.

One day Weaver meets Sam Deed, whose behavior sometimes seems strange to you. She's getting closer to him. It turns out that Deed came from the year 2439 to flee from the totalitarian regime ruling at that time. He should be punished in the future for guilty of his sister's death. Weaver doubts the story Deed told is true.

Reviews

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times on September 14, 2001 that the film was essentially a mixture of silliness and science fiction. The cast would make it fun to watch - both leads would appear normal in one moment and have fire in their eyes in another.

Awards

Brad Anderson was nominated for a special award at the Deauville Film Festival in 2000. The film received a special award from the National Board of Review in 2001 .
