The harpoon Publishing is a 2010 established publisher of art books, based in Vienna , Austria .

Publishing house and program

Harpune Verlag was founded in 2010 by Josef Zekoff and Sarah Bogner in Vienna. The publisher publishes artist books in limited editions. Sarah Bogner has also been running the typesetting and book printing workshop Neue Satz Wien since October 2011 in the premises of a former machine setters in the Viennese district of Währing , where parts of the production, such as machine and manual typesetting , take place for the Harpune Verlag.

Moby Dick fillet

As a long-term project, the publisher has been publishing the Moby Dick Filet series every month since autumn 2011 , in which each of the 137 chapters of the original English version of Herman Melville's novel Moby Dick is to appear in achronological order. Each volume is illustrated by a different artist and produced in an edition of 460 copies each.
