Haviland Morris

Haviland Morris (* 14. September 1959 in Loch Arbor , New Jersey ) is an American actress .

life and career

Haviland Morris was born in New Jersey but grew up for a few years in Hong Kong , where her father worked in the electronics industry. She became known to many viewers in 1984 through her second role in the cinema, that of the popular and vain high school student Caroline, in the comedy This is only allowed as an adult , directed by John Hughes . In this film, the actually red-haired actress wore a blonde wig. Numerous other film and television roles followed. In 1987 she played a wealthy heiress in the comedy Who's That Girl , who loses her fiancé to Madonna's character at the end of the film . In the horror comedy Gremlins 2 - The Return of the Little Monsters (1990) she played Marla Bloodstone , the boss of the main character Billy.

In 1997 she starred as the mother of the main character in Home Alone Again , a less successful sequel to Home Alone . In addition to her cinema roles, Morris took on many appearances in US television series and played a permanent role in the soap opera Love, Lies, Passion for several years . In the 2001 hit video game Max Payne , she played the role of Michelle Payne, the main character's murdered wife. After receiving fewer and fewer role offers in Hollywood at the age of 40, she built up a second mainstay as a real estate agent. Nevertheless, she was still active in the 2010s with supporting roles in independent films and television series.

Morris is married to Robert Score, they have their daughter Faith (* 1991) and their son Henry (* 2000).
