Hawks - The Falcons (Original title: Hawks ) is a British tragicomedy directed by Robert Ellis Miller from 1988. Timothy Dalton , Anthony Edwards , and Janet McTeer play the leading roles . The film is based on a short story by Barry Gibb , a member of the Bee Gees and David English .

British lawyer Bancroft and American football player Decker meet in the cancer ward of a British hospital. After both of them learned of their incurable cancer, they decide to go to Amsterdam in the Netherlands and visit the brothel Paradise there. On the journey in a stolen ambulance, they take the young women Hazel and Maureen with them. While Bancroft and Hazel fall in love and thus Bancroft gains new will to live, Decker dies on the trip of his illness.
