Reviews
Michael Meyns from Filmstarts.de attests to Andreas Kleinert that he has "gently modernized" the classic play "in order to dissect the lies of the bourgeoisie in the present too." The result is a "biting drama, both theatrically and cinematically staged with great emphasis" . Meyns comes to the conclusion: "With the support of his outstanding actors, especially Susanne Wolff as the title heroine Hedda, Andreas Kleinert succeeds in a modern, cinematic and theatrical remake of the classic play by Henrik Ibsen."
