Heidi Elizabeth Androl (born October 29, 1980 in Unionville , Michigan ) is an American sports journalist . She became known through her work for the sports channels NHL Network and FOX Sports .

Career

Beginnings

Since childhood, Androl had aspired to a career in the media. Born and raised in Unionville , Michigan, USA , she started modeling at the age of 13 and appeared in various national and international print and advertising campaigns. After initially attending the regional campus of the University of Michigan-Flint, she moved to Michigan State University in 1998 and graduated in 1999.

After college and a subsequent summer vacation in Southern California , Androl decided to move to Los Angeles in what was possibly the best step in her life as a number of modeling and acting opportunities opened up. Smaller jobs initially gave her the incentive to stay in California before she went into the acting world for a few projects. She made her debut with the action film Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt (German title: In the footsteps of Batman ) in 2003.
