Heiner Feldhoff

Heiner Feldhoff (born May 27, 1945 in Steinheim , Westphalia ) is a German writer .

Life

Feldhoff, who grew up in Duisburg , studied German and Romance languages at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . After graduating from college, he was a teacher at secondary schools in Duisburg and Altenkirchen until 1996 .

He is a member of the Association of German Writers and lives in Oberdreis in the Westerwald .

Awards

Feldhoff is the recipient of the sponsorship award of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate 1985. For an early version of his briefest stories ( Kafka's dog ... ) Feldhoff received the Joseph-Breitbach-Preis of Südwestfunk and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate (today: Georg-K.-Glaser Price ). In 2002 he was awarded the special jury prize for the Rhineland-Palatinate Prize Book of the Year for his work Kafkas Hund… . 2011 Translation Prize (with Hanju Yang) from the Korea Literature Translation Institute for the novel Black Flower by Kim Young-ha.
