Heinrich Fip founded the company in 1929 as an oil , fat and soap retailer . His son Hans-Jürgen Fip joined the company in the mid-1960s. In partnership with Aral AG , the company developed into a mineral oil trader . Since 2006, Hendrik Fip, a grandson of the founder, has been the managing director.

Group structure

Fip Verwaltungs-GmbH , based in Osnabrück, is the general partner of the limited partnership . The limited partners are BP Europa SE ( Hamburg ) and Hans-Jürgen Fip (Osnabrück) with 50% each .
