Heinrich Lechtenberg

Heinrich Lechtenberg (born November 28, 1895 in Münster ; † August 6, 1964 in Rotta ) was a CDU politician in the GDR .

Life

Heinrich Lechtenberg attended elementary school and high school . He then completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and took part in the First World War as a soldier . After 1918 Lechtenburg was employed by the city administration of Düsseldorf . He left the administrative service and took over the management of a construction company in Berlin . Heinrich Lechtenberg joined the CDU after the Second World War and took over the management of the department for industrial development in the Calau district office . After the local elections in 1946 he was appointed district councilor and deputy district administrator . Lechtenberg was deputy district chairman in the district of Calau and from April 1949 a member of the Brandenburg state executive committee of the CDU. In November 1950, the CDU sent him to Mecklenburg , where he took over the office of Minister for Construction and Industry in the Höcker II cabinet . Despite surveillance by the Ministry for State Security , Lechtenberg remained in office until 1952. In 1952 he was appointed deputy chairman of the council for the district of Neubrandenburg . He had been a member of the People's Chamber since 1949 and had been a member of the Neubrandenburg District Assembly since 1952 .
