Heinrich Mosler (born January 29, 1911 in Schmiedeberg , Riesengebirge , † August 22, 1969 in Cottbus ) was a German party functionary ( KPD / SED ) and resistance fighter against National Socialism .

Life

Mosler was born into a working class family. After attending primary school, he learned the trade of glass cutter . In 1927 he joined the Red Front Fighters Union and in 1929 the KPD. He worked as a functionary for the KPD in Schmiedeberg. In 1932 he became a member of the KPD local leadership in Schmiedeberg.

After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists in 1933, he participated in the resistance against the Nazi regime. In 1935 he was arrested and sentenced to eight years in prison for “preparation for high treason ” . Mosler was imprisoned in the Groß-Strehlitz and Luckau prisons as well as in the Papenburg concentration camp . After his release in 1943, he worked as a weaver and continued his resistance work.

From May 1945 he was mayor of Schmiedeberg until the municipality was handed over to the Polish administration . In 1945/46 he was first a member, then secretary of the KPD district leadership in Ostprignitz in Kyritz . From 1946 to 1949 he was chairman of the SED district committee in Ostprignitz. From September 1947 to 1950 he was a member of the Brandenburg state parliament . From 1948 to 1952 he was a member of the SED state board of Brandenburg , from 1949 to 1952 he was the first chairman of the state party control commission (LPKK) of the SED Brandenburg in the rank of party secretary. From September 1949 to February 1950, Mosler was temporarily also chairman of the state commission for state control in Brandenburg, representing Bruno Lentzsch , who was appointed Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg. From 1950 to 1958 he was a candidate for the Central Party Control Commission (ZPKK), from 1952 to 1955 chairman of the District Party Control Commission (BPKK) of the SED Chemnitz and Karl-Marx-Stadt . From 1955 to 1963 he acted as second secretary of the SED district leadership in Schwerin . From 1958 to 1963 Mosler was a member of the Central Revision Commission of the SED. From 1964 to 1969 he was a member of the SED district leadership in Cottbus and at the same time worked as chairman of the BPKK of the SED Cottbus.
