Heliopolis Open 2000

The women's Heliopolis Open 2000 took place from August 27 to 31, 2000 in the Egyptian capital Cairo . The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2000/01 and belonged to the WSA Silver 25 category . The prize money was $ 30,000.

The two top seeded players Leilani Joyce and Carol Owens reached the final, in which Joyce prevailed with 9: 6, 7: 9, 9: 3 and 9: 2. World number leader Cassie Campion withdrew her participation before the start of the tournament.

The field of participants in the women's competition consisted of 32 players, a qualification was not played. The best 16 players were seeded. A wildcard was not awarded.
