Helmut Ahner (born January 25, 1928 in Dresden ; † April 25, 2014 ) was a German actor and voice actor .

Live and act

Helmut Ahner began working as a voice actor in 1959 , and later as an author.

In 1962 he spoke to Peter Lorre in the role of “Dr. Einstein ”for the resynchronization of arsenic and lace cap . Also a new dubbing was Dick und Doof - Die Teufelsbrüder , where he dubbed Stan Laurel . In the mid-1960s, he took on the role of Red Buttons in Robert Parrish's war drama The Day After and the part of Ronald Fraser as Sergeant Watson in Robert Aldrich's classic adventure The Flight of the Phoenix . In 1967 he voiced Gene Wilder in the role of Eugene Grizzard in Bonnie and Clyde .

Children should know him as the butler Johann from the series DuckTales - News from Duckburg .

As an actor, Helmut Ahner was an ensemble member of the Thalia-Theater Hamburg after an early engagement in the Theater an der Parkaue in Berlin . Some appearances for the cinema - for example Die spanische Fliege (1955) or Italy trip - love included (1958) - and the television ( Gezeiten , 1970) became well-known beside its countless dubbing and radio play tasks.

Helmut Ahner died at the age of 86. He was in the cemetery of Neukirchen / Erzgeb. buried in the family grave.
