Henner Momann

Henner Momann (* 1986 in Nordhorn ) is a German actor .

Life

Henner Momann was born in the southwest of Lower Saxony . He completed his acting studies from 2007 to 2011 at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig .

From 2009 to 2011 Momann was a member of the drama studio of the Staatsschauspiel Dresden . During his training he worked a. a. with the directors Simon Solberg , Julia Hölscher , Tilmann Köhler and Wolfgang Engel . The production Italienische Nacht nach Ödön von Horvath , directed by Tilmann Köhler, in which Momann played the landlord, was awarded the Günther Rühle Prize for the best acting ensemble performance at the 2010 "Young Actors Week" in Bensheim . In 2010, Momann also took part in the world premiere of the theatrical version of Uwe Tellkamp's novel Der Turm (director: Wolfgang Engel).

From 2011 to 2014 he was permanently engaged at the Staatstheater Oldenburg . There he stepped u. a. in productions by KD Schmidt , Jan-Christoph Gockel , Jan Neumann , Ekat Cordes and Markolf Naujoks and played several leading roles in theater literature . His roles included Laertes in Hamlet , the drum major in Woyzeck , the gangster Ernesto Roma in Arturo Ui , the tutor Ejlert Løvborg in Hedda Gabler and the prison guard Frosch in the operetta Die Fledermaus .

Since the 2014/15 season, Momann has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Schauspiel des Staatstheater Mainz . He stepped there u. a. as Mellefont in Miss Sara Sampson (2014, directed by Markolf Naujoks), as Octavian in Antonius und Cleopatra (2015, directed by Claudia Bauer ), as Major Mühlen in Pension Schöller (2016, directed by Peter Jordan and Leonhard Koppelmann ), as Macduff in Macbeth (2016, director: Jan-Christoph Gockel) and as Graf Wetter vom Strahl in Das Käthchen von Heilbronn (director: Niklaus Helbling ).

In the 2017/18 season he was Hamlet in a new production of the Shakespeare drama by KD Schmidt. In the 2017/18 season he also played Hagen von Tronje in a new production of Friedrich Hebbel's play The Nibelungs (director: Jan-Christoph Gockel).

At the opening of the 2018/19 season he played Leicester in a new production of Maria Stuart , directed by Dariusch Yazdkhasti . He also played the courtier Baron Don Lossas in a new production of the operetta Märchen in the Grand Hotel by Paul Abraham (directed by Peter Jordan, Leonhard Koppelmann). In the 2018/19 season he also appeared again as Hagen von Tronje in the revival of Die Nibelungen .

Momann also stands in front of the camera for film and TV productions. In the ZDF series The Public Prosecutor (2019) and A Case for Two (2019) he took on episode roles. He also works as a dubbing and radio play speaker as well as a lecturer at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts .

Momann lives in Mainz .
