Henri Joseph Perrotin

Henri Joseph Anastase Perrotin ( December 19, 1845 - February 29, 1904 ) was a French astronomer .

Perrotin was from 1884 until his death Director of the Observatoire de Nice (Observatory of Nice ). In particular, he carried out observations of the planet Mars , determined the period of rotation of Venus and calculated the orbital disturbances of the asteroid Vesta . In his honor the asteroid (1515) Perrotin was named after him. Since 1892 he was a corresponding member of the Académie des sciences .
