Albert Henry Thomas (born July 1, 1888 in Birmingham , England , † January 13, 1963 in New York ) was a British boxer .
Thomas joined the 1908 Summer Olympics in bantamweight took. In the final of the competition he was able to prevail against John Condon and win the gold medal.
A year after his Olympic victory, he moved to the United States , where he stayed for the rest of his life, apart from a trip to England in 1947. During World War I he served in the United States Navy . He was a US citizen.
