Henryk Mieczysław Jagodziński (born January 1, 1969 in Małogoszcz ) is a Polish clergyman , Roman Catholic archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

After studying philosophy and Catholic theology at the seminary of the Kielce diocese and at the Polish seminary in Paris , Henryk Mieczysław Jagodziński received the sacrament of ordination on June 3, 1995 from the Bishop of Kielce, Kazimierz Ryczan . Jagodziński was then parish vicar in Busko-Zdrój before he was sent to Rome in 1997 for further studies . He was at the Pontifical University of Santa Croce in the subject canon law doctorate .

Henryk Mieczysław Jagodziński entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See on July 1, 2001. After training at the Pontifical Diplomatic Academy , he was at the nunciatures in Belarus (2001-2005) and Croatia (2005-2008), in the section for relations with the states of the State Secretariat (2008-2015) and at the nunciature in India ( 2015-2018). Most recently he was Nunciature Councilor at the Nunciature in Bosnia and Herzegovina .

On 3 May 2020 it appointed Pope Francis to Titular Archbishop of Limosano and Apostolic Nuncio in Ghana . The delegate for the nunciatures in the Vatican Secretariat of State , Archbishop January Romeo Pawlowski , gave him on 18 July of the same year in the Cathedral of Kielce the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Poland, Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio , and the Bishop of Kielce, Jan Piotrowski .
