Herbert Pechan (born March 23, 1918 in Priesen ; † March 13, 1944 at Tarchan) was a German football player who was active in the top Czechoslovak and German leagues from 1937 to 1944 .

Career

Teplitzer FK / Warnsdorfer FK

As a German citizen, Pechan lived in northern Bohemia until 1939 . 1937/38 he played for the Teplitzer FK in the Státní League , the top division of the time in Czechoslovakia . After the incorporation of the Sudetenland into the German Reich , he moved early in the season 1938/39 to Warnsdorfer FK in the Gauliga Sudetenland , as one of initially 18 and later spiked to 23 Gauligen the era of National Socialism as a uniform top flight.
