Hermann Friedrich Wilhelm Neumann (born October 8, 1882 in Buskow ; † March 8, 1933 in Darmstadt ) was a German politician ( SPD Hessen ) and former member of the state parliament of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic and a victim of the Nazi dictatorship.

Life

Neumann worked as a stone printer journeyman until 1905. From 1905 to 1911 he worked as an employee of the Offenbach am Main local health insurance fund . In 1914 he became chairman of the branch of the lithographers' association and the Hessian health insurance association as well as a member of the board of the union cartel . From February 1919 to December 1919 he was President of the Hessian State Food Office and from January 1920 to 1933 President of the State Insurance Institute in Darmstadt.

Neumann was SPD state party secretary for Hesse from December 1911 to February 1919, based in Offenbach am Main. From 1912 to 1919 he was a city ​​councilor in Offenbach am Main and from 1915 to 1919 a member of the district council. With the death of Heinrich Busold in 1915, he moved to the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse . From 1918 to 1924 he was a member of the state parliament.

After the " seizure of power " he was arrested and murdered by SA men.
