Hermann Roehrig

Hermann Roehrig (born December 15, 1836 in Barmen (today a district of Wuppertal ); † September 21, 1927 in Osnabrück ) was a German administrative officer and member of parliament.

Life

Born as the son of a factory and landowner, Roehrig studied law and camera science at the universities of Halle , Heidelberg and Berlin after attending the pedagogy in Halle . In 1855 he became a member of the Fürstenthal Halle fraternity , and in 1856 of the Corps Neo-Borussia Berlin . In 1857 he became a member of the Corps Marchia Halle . In 1858 he joined the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. First Regierungsassessor in the government in Breslau , he was in 1870 District Administrator of the district Tecklenburg . He was a member of the board of directors of the agricultural district association Tecklenburg.

In 1883 he came to Vohwinkel as district administrator for the Mettmann district . In 1891 he was appointed senior government councilor and department head in the government in Arnsberg . In 1892 he changed to the government in Köslin as a senior councilor . In 1907 he retired and has lived in Osnabrück ever since.

From 1877 to 1879 Roehrig sat as a member of the constituency of Münster 1 (Tecklenburg) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the New Conservative Party. Hermann Roehrig was married to Ottilie Bertha Siebel. The son Siegfried , district administrator of the Halle district, came from the marriage .
