From 2007 to 2009 Unzola played seventeen games for Bayer 04's B-youth team in the U-17 Bundesliga . In the summer of 2009 he moved to the A-Jugend from SCB Viktoria Köln , which had been promoted to the U-19 Bundesliga . In the first half of the 2009/10 season he played thirteen games and scored two goals. At the beginning of 2010 he then moved to Borussia Dortmund's A-youth team . By the summer of 2011 Unzola had played 36 games in the U-19 Bundesliga and scored three goals. During the winter break of the 2010/11 season, he completed a training camp with the second BVB team in Turkey . On 28 May 2011, the last day of the Regional season 2010/11 , Unzola came in the away game against II Borussia Mönchengladbach (1: 2) when he his first appearance for the second team in the 61st minute for Onur Cenik substitute has been. From the 2011/12 season he was officially part of the second team's squad, but could not fight for a regular place. In the summer of 2012 he rose with the team in the 3rd division . On October 20, 2012, the 14th matchday of the 2012/13 season , he made his debut in professional football when he came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute for Admir Terzić in the away game against SV Darmstadt 98 (2-1) . After only two short appearances in the 3rd division, he was removed from the squad by coach David Wagner at the beginning of January 2013 and was allowed to look for a new club. In mid-January 2013, however, Borussia Dortmund announced that Unzola would continue to play for the second team until the 2013 summer break. The reason for the change of opinion was the departure of Chris Löwe from the first team to 1. FC Kaiserslautern , whereby the regular defender of the second team Marcel Halstenberg moved up to the professionals and the second team was looking for an alternative to the position of left-back. These were found in Unzola. After the contract expired, Hervenogi Unzola moved from Borussia Dortmund to Sportfreunde Lotte for the 13/14 season . However, he could not assert himself there in the first six months. During the winter break, and with the arrival of the new coach Michael Boris, he saw a new chance and won a regular place in the friendly matches. Shortly before the start of the return series, Unzola was seriously injured on the Syndesmosis ligament, which almost ended his season. In the last game of the season Unzola came on in the 53 minute and was passed. For the 2014/15 season Unzola moved to the regional division SC Verl , for which he played 78 games in three seasons. In the summer of 2017 he signed a one-year contract with the league competitor Rot-Weiss Essen .

In summer 2018 Unzola moved to SG Wattenscheid 09 . He has been without a contract since summer 2019.
