Hicham Ziouti (born December 17, 1985 in Gisors ) is a French boxer .

Hicham Ziouti started boxing as a teenager. He starts for the boxing club Chaumont BA and is trained by his father Brahim Ziouti. At a height of 1.81 meters, he boxes in featherweight, the weight class up to 57 kg body weight. Because of this size, which is unusual for his weight class, he has a range advantage that he knows how to use. He's a student.

His international career as an amateur boxer began in 2004 at the World Student Championship in Antalya . There he reached an excellent 3rd place in the bantamweight category.

In 2005 he was the French runner-up in bantamweight after losing points in the final against Ali Hallab . Also in 2006 he lost to the same boxer in the French championship. From 2007 he started in featherweight. But he had to admit defeat at the French championship of that year and also at the 2008 Khedafi Djelkhir , so that from 2005 to 2008 he was French runner-up four times in a row. In 2009 he finally won his first title. In the final fight of the featherweight he defeated Amine Boumerdaci on points.

At international championships he could not start because he was preferred to Ali Hallab and Khedafi Djelkhir at the important championships in France. But he finished at the Francophonie Games in Niamey in 2005 in featherweight after a point defeat in the final against Hamit Ait Bighrad from Morocco a good 2nd place.

In 2006 he was even champion of the European Union in featherweight in Pécs with victories over Yakup Kilic , Turkey , Alexei Schaidulin, Bulgaria and Theodorus Papazow, Greece .

In 2008, Hicham Ziouti took 3rd place at the EU championship in Cetniewo / Poland after defeating Sandro Schaer from Germany and losing to David Oliver Joyce from Ireland . At the European Championships held in Liverpool after the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 , in which Khedafi Djelkhir started for France, he came in featherweight after victories over Craig Evans from Wales , Kiril Relich from Belarus and Kerem Gürgen, Turkey, and a defeat in the semifinals against Vasyl Lomatschenko from the Ukraine to 3rd place and won an EM bronze medal .

In 2009 Hicham Ziouti defeated the "Bocskai" tournament in Debrecen u. a. the strong Cuban Yankiel León Alarcon and was only defeated in the final against Olympic champion Sergei Wodopjanow from Russia . In three international matches against Cuba in May 2009, he remained undefeated, defeating Yankiel León Alarcon once and Ivan Onate twice .
