Antenna systems

Hirschmann Car Communication is a provider of antenna systems in vehicles. This includes antenna systems for analog and digital radio, mobile radio, navigation, CB radio and telematics services, as well as convenience components such as remote keyless entry or keyless go systems.

In 2009, Hirschmann Car Communication introduced a patented film antenna concept that has been used by many automobile manufacturers since then. The film antenna is based on a conductive silver paste that is applied to the film material using a screen printing process. With this additive process, widely branched or scattered antenna structures can be realized on a film. The film antennas are usually attached to the plastic attachment with the aid of clips or self-adhesive. In 2015 an antenna was presented that combines transceiver , tuner and antenna in one unit.

TV tuner

The company develops and produces TV tuners that provide television reception in the vehicle. A distinction is made between analog, digital or hybrid TV tuners that are used to receive terrestrial analog TV broadcasts as well as digital programs - for example the standards DVB-T , DVB-T2 , ISDB-T , DTMB , T-DMB or SBTVD - are designed.

Solutions

As a further mainstay, the company founded the Solutions division in January 2012 in order to meet the increasing demand from the telematics and M2M industry for communication technology . The solutions range from remote monitoring of a wide variety of work processes, tracking of the position of mobile objects via GPS , communication between industrial machines via WLAN , to smart metering , the automatic reading of gas, water and electricity meters.

Car radio

At the IAA 2011 , the company presented its first self-developed car radio . The radio is to be equipped with a contactless control: sensors on the control panel recognize hand movements directly in front of the display and convert them into control commands.
