history

Originally, the program title should be derived directly from the Upper Austrian Hoamatgsang and be called "Hoamatlärm", to illustrate the break between format radio and free, one-hour play area for music beyond folk music and hits. Out of respect for the musical quality, the title was changed to Hoamatsound.

concept

The musical guests are presented in interview form within the first forty minutes of the broadcast. Above all, the songs from the artists' repertoire form an essential part of the music program. With the exception of a signature that refers to the concert podium broadcast , the broadcast dispenses with the usual musical packaging elements in order to allow the songs played to come into their own. In the last third there are concert tips, current publications or an insight into the music scene in Upper Austria. Hoamatsound runs every last Sunday of the month between 7 and 8 p.m. and is designed and moderated by Loucaz Steinherr. In addition to the established musicians from the state, newcomers and unknown artists in particular will present their music. The program is also accompanied by irregular articles on the Internet that deal with current concerts in Upper Austria or new publications.
