Hohenhausen ( Low German Hogenhusen ) is a village in Wangersen in the municipality of Ahlerstedt in the Stade district ( Lower Saxony ).

history
Regional affiliation
During the French period from 1810 to 1814 Hohenhausen belonged to the Mairie Bevern in the canton of Zeven and was part of the French Empire from 1811 ; it had previously belonged to the Kingdom of Westphalia .
Before 1885 Hohenhausen belonged to the Harsefeld district , after 1885 to the Stade district and since 1932 to the current district of Stade .
As a district of Wangersen , Hohenhausen was incorporated into Ahlerstedt as part of the municipal reform in Lower Saxony on July 1, 1972 .

Transport and infrastructure

The side road that leads through Hohenhausen runs in the northwest to Wangersen and in the southeast to district road 134 near Klein Ippensen . To the northeast, a small road leads to Klein Wangersen .
The next motorway connection is in Sittensen to the federal motorway 1 .
The nearest train station is about 13 kilometers to the north in Harsefeld on the Bremerhaven – Buxtehude railway line .
