Hohenleina is a district of the municipality of Krostitz in the Saxon district of North Saxony in Germany .

geography

Hohenleina is now southwest of the main town of Krostitz between the cities of Delitzsch and Eilenburg . The place is between the federal highway 2 in the west and the Leinebach in the east, which separates Hohenleine from Krostitz. In the corridor of Hohenleina there is part of the local desert of Konsenz .

history

Hohenleina belonged to the Electoral Saxon Office of Eilenburg until 1815 . The resolutions of the Congress of Vienna resulted in Prussia and in 1816 it was allocated to the Delitzsch district in the Merseburg administrative district of the province of Saxony . On April 1, 1939, it was incorporated into Krostitz. In the course of the district reform in the GDR in 1952, Hohenleina was assigned as a district of Krostitz to the newly cut Delitzsch district in the Leipzig district, which was added to the Delitzsch district in 1994 and this in turn in the northern Saxony district in 2008.
