Hommershausen is a district of the town of Frankenberg (Eder) in the northern Hessian district of Waldeck-Frankenberg .

The place is located in the north of the state of Hesse , embedded in the Ederbergland .

history

The first documentary mention was made in 1016 in connection with a deed of gift. In the "Star Wars" from 1372 to 1373 the place fell into desolation. Resettlement takes place in 1518. In 1588 the place comes to the court of Röddenau . From 1623 the parish of Viermünden is responsible for Hommershausen. In 1890 the volunteer fire brigade is founded. The place is connected to the public power grid in 1921.

On 31 December 1970 in the wake of Hommershausen was municipal reform in Hesse on a voluntary basis in the city Frankenberg (Eder) (former spelling Frankenberg-Eder ) incorporated .

In 1982 the Dorfstrasse was expanded. In 2001 it was connected to the public sewer system.
