A trigonometric point was set up on the mountain about two kilometers south of the Moravian border with Bohemia in 1824. Around 1918 the Rakušanka lookout point existed on the upper forest. The trigonometric mast was renewed in 1936 and increased to 21 m. It existed until 1954.

The tower is accessible at any time from April 15 to October 15 and is closed during the winter months.
