Horst F. Pampel

Horst F. Pampel (born July 11, 1934 in Karlsruhe , † July 28, 2010 in Mühlacker ) was a local researcher from Baden .

Live and act

Horst F. Pampel was born in the Stadtmitte district of Karlsruhe. He worked as a prop master at the Badisches Staatstheater in Karlsruhe .

Pampel was the editor and author of several publications on the history of the city of Karlsruhe and for many years volunteered in several Karlsruhe associations , some of which he founded or co-founded. Among other things, he was a member of the regional association Badische Heimat , the regional association Baden in Europa eV and the association "Salz des Sandkorn", the support association of the Karlsruhe Sandkorn Theater .

In addition, she was a member of the Karlsruhe Literature Circle and the Friends of the Baden State Museum .

In 2002, Horst F. Pampel and the Karlsruhe building historian Manfred Klinkott campaigned for the preservation of the Karlsruhe Botanical Garden ; Both of them collected signatures against a planned extension to the Federal Constitutional Court on Europaplatz .

In the municipal elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2009 , Horst F. Pampel ran on the list of the electoral group Free Voters Karlsruhe - Citizens for Karlsruhe (BüKa) for the Karlsruhe municipal council .

In 2001, Pampel was awarded the Medal of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .

Horst F. Pampel lived in the Karlsruhe district of downtown West; he died at the end of July 2010 at the age of 76 and was buried in a Christian style in Karlsruhe's main cemetery. The funeral was under the biblical phrase "Seek the city's best" ( Jer 29.7  EU ).
