Hsin-Huei Huang
Hsin-Huei Huang (* 1977 in Taipei , Taiwan ) is a Taiwanese pianist .
Life
Huang received her first piano lessons at the age of five and attended elite music schools in Taipei, where she received musical training and devoted herself to playing the cello in addition to the piano. At the age of eleven she made her first appearance in Ludwig van Beethoven's first piano concerto . In 1997 she came to Europe and studied piano in the master class of Hans Leygraf in Salzburg and with Thomas Duis and Ayami Ikeba in Graz . Hsin-Huei Huang lives as a freelance pianist in Vienna .
Appearances
Huang performs as a soloist and chamber musician . Her chamber music partners include the Arditti Quartet, the Stadler Quartet and the Tetras Quartet from the Ensemble Klangforum Wien. Part of her solo work is the development of interdisciplinary projects with piano literature (“Piano out of the way” with the Licht-Raum artist Claudia Doderer, “Ton, Wort / Klang, Laut” with the writer Ferdinand Schmatz). Hsin-Huei Huang was a guest at a. at the festivals Darmstadt Ferienkurse, Salzburg Biennale, Wien Modern, Ultraschall Berlin, Biennale Zagreb and in the concert halls Musikverein Wien , Wiener Konzerthaus and Mozarteum Salzburg,
In addition to radio recordings, u. a. At ORF , SWR and RAI she recorded Bernhard Gander's dedicated composition "Peter Parker" for piano solo in autumn 2007 at KAIROS and in 2010 Beat Furrer's piano quintet "spur" at the Salzburg Biennale on the NEOS label (Pasticciopreis, ORF Ö1). Collaboration with the ensembles Klangforum Wien and Opera nova Zurich took place at the Salzburg Festival, Zurich Festival, Wiener Festwochen, Munich Biennale, Witten Days for New Chamber Music, in the Cologne Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic, Casa da Musica Porto and Opéra Bastille Paris; with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra (under Ingo Metzmacher and Kent Nagano ), the Orqueta Sinfonica de Radio Television Espanola, and the Bern Symphony Orchestra.
