Hyde Park is a village in the town of Hyde Park in Lamoille County of the state of Vermont in the United States with 462 inhabitants (according to the 2010 census). Hyde Park is in the south in the town, on which it is politically and administratively dependent ( village ), but with which it shares many municipal services. The administrative facilities of the Village, Town and Lamoille Counties are located in the village, as Hyde Park is also the Shire Town of the county.
history
The Village Hyde Park was given independent rights in 1895, like many other incorporated villages for the purpose of establishing municipal water and electricity supplies. Which is still located in the village today. In addition to the administrative facilities of several parishes, the village also houses the post office, library, elementary school and the Hyde Park Opera House , an event center.
The Lamoille County Courthouse was built in 1912 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996 .
