IC 2288 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 203 million light years from the Milky Way and about 35,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies NGC 2554 and IC 2250 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on February 13, 1901 .
