IC 4334 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / R in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 523 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light-years across .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on July 3, 1896 .
