IC 4321 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sab in the constellation Centaur in the southern sky . It is an estimated 214 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies NGC 5264 , NGC 5291 , IC 4319 , IC 4324 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 4, 1904 .
