IC 4448 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBd in the constellation Apus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 199 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on June 19, 1900 .
